Research Project

Since January, we have created the Pride Information Management System (PIMS) which will house all our research data and will be made available to the public. Additionally, we have begun drafting the Wikipedia pages for the Manitoba Pride Profiles. Interviews with Winnipeg Community Events and Rural Manitoba Prides are still in progress.

The online research has been completed for Edmonton and the team has begun research into the Edmonton Community Events. Calgary’s online research is still ongoing.

We have begun research on the following rural Alberta communities:

  • Paul

  • Peace River

  • Rocky Mountain House

  • Ponoka

  • Stony Plain

Mark your calendars as we will be launching the research and education materials for Manitoba on June 3, 2022, during the Canada Pride Festival taking place in Winnipeg. Details of the launch event will be announced in May.

Education Project

All the lesson plans from K-12 have been drafted and are in various stages of review. Additionally, we are compiling a list of books, videos, games/activities, and field trips suggestions for teachers/educators.
