How do you balance your volunteer time at the CPHS with your other competing priorities?

I balance my volunteer time at the CPHS with my other competing priorities by often getting most of the CPHS work done on weekends, or as soon as possible during the week inbetween more urgent and important priorities. I try to get a lot done in advance so that I'm not playing catch-up all the time, whether it be writing copy for social media or communicating with other volunteers about what needs to get done and what I need help with!

How has the CPHS helped in your professional development?

CPHS helped me gain experience in being flexible with communicating with others, and gave me opportunities to improve my social media copywriting in particular.

What advice do you have for prospective volunteers for the CPHS?

Find ways to challenge yourself and your skills. If you see an opportunity that might help CPHS further and also help you grow your skills in a particular area that you want to grow more in, make others aware of it and offer to take part in those opportunities.

What is your proudest moment at the CPHS?

One of my proudest moments has been designing the Stonewall: It's A Riot virtual exhibition webpage for the new CPHS English website! I'm proud of how that turned out, especially since I was pretty new to using Wix at the time.
